Liu Junshen, director of CIECC, 50, was born in Inner Mongolia. Han Nationality, member of the Communist Party. Graduated from East China University of Science and Technology and finished his post-graduate study in Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He was the deputy director general of the Department of Science and Technological Development and Trade in Technology of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation PRC.

Liu served as officer of the Administrative Ministration of Import and Export, and Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation the P.R.C. From Feb. 1996 to Mar. 1997, Liu also served as the vice Mayor of the city of Yantai.

He used to be the officer of Bureau of Fair Trade for Import and Export, the division deputy director general of Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation P.R.C., special commissioners office in Shenzhen, division deputy director general and division section chief of the Bureau of Fair Trade for Import and Export, division section chief of General Administration of the Department of Trade, division section chief of System Management and Department of Export, the deputy director general of the Department of Trade and the Department of Technology.
